Finding Techno Beat Maker

By Mary Landry

You have more than likely been out to a club and have been impressed by the tracks the DJ was playing during the night. Maybe you were envious at his ability to create those sounds and you would like to try to make your own. You could definitely do this with a small amount of knowledge and a very good techno beat maker.

Are you familiar with Mash-ups and Bootlegs? A Mash-up is a one of a kind song that is made by overlaying a couple or more tracks on to a single track. It is really easy to do if you find two complimentary tracks.

A Bootleg starts with a single original song. You then add various sounds or mix in a number of loops from other songs to make a new, unique piece of music.

A nice techno beat creator will let you do all of these things without trouble. When I refer to the beat maker, I am simply referring to a piece of software that will instruct you and assist you in producing your music online.

When you have your software package, you must start by understanding the basics of techno beat producing. Decide which instruments you want to use for your first piece. Consider if you are going to create these from scratch and record them - or are you going to download some mix tracks.

Since it is the percussion beat that determines the tempo of your piece, this is where your techno music process will always begin.

After that, start adding the bass and determine the rhythm. You are now adding your personal, unique signature to your music. Play around with plenty of various sounds and instruments until you discover what you like.

Now the fun really starts. Layer different sounds and samples to see if you can improve your piece even further with your new techno beat maker.

As soon as you're happy with your creation, listen to your track once again. Is the beat correct? Do you like the tempo just the way it is? Remember that each piece of music that you create should have an intro, chorus, climax and conclusion. Your techno beat maker software gives you the ability to actually chart these four phases, which is a great help.

If you have all of these elements and you love the way it sounds - you are done. You have now composed your very first song! - 40732
