As consumers continue to access their music in a variety of different ways, and artists continue to gain access to new tools that help them create more profound and interesting art, we will likely see many trends based around the personal preferences of artists and consumers as well as technological advances.

In order to accurately assess what type of trends we will see in the year 2011, we must combine our assessments of the personal preferences of popular music artists with the personal preferences of consumers.

As a result, we can predict that this industry will produce many music art forms that rely upon technologically advanced features like faster paced beats and unusual sounds.

Consumers continue to avoid purchasing albums in stores too.
